My Return to Spoken Word

its been a while.  for reasons i won't get into at this moment, i stopped writing a few years ago....but now i am trying to get back into the medium of performance poetry.  this is my set from this past week.  to get a good reference of my commentary, the emcee introduced me with the following narrative:

Having been stranded on a deserted island for 3 years with no form of entertainment, PJ Ortiz Luis resorted to writing haikus in the sand and reading them out loud to scare off the winged boar-like creature that haunted his campsite at night.  Tonight, he will be reading two of those poems...

Hipstamatic [images]

here are a few more photos i've taken this week...i noticed some people have been wondering about the fisheye attachment.  i will make a video sometime soon...maybe over the thanksgiving break.  if you want to do fisheye hipstamotography...it'd be better to get a physical fisheye than have it "faked" via photo technology....the fake versions reeeeeally suck.

ALSO...if you are in san diego, go ahead and head over to the contact page and shoot me a message!  i'm trying to set up a hipstamatic enthusiast group to go on outings, hikes, events, etc.
